Beautiful Gesu Church Wedding and Toledo Zoo Reception – Toledo Wedding Photographer

I’m so excited to share a a little preview of Laura and Hunter’s wedding day!

They were married at beautiful Gesu Church followed by a Toledo Zoo reception. Theirs was literally a fairy tale wedding!

Laura’s dress for the ceremony was an incredibly unique and beautiful pink gown which I imagine was modeled after Cinderella’s ball gown complete with little slippers. I have never seen a bouquet as memorable as Laura’s. It was made of broaches, some of which were antiques and I believe one of which belonged to her grandmother. Her bridesmaids carried deep lavender bouquets each accented by a broach as well. For the later part of the reception Laura changed into a simple off white satin dress complimented by stylish lavender heels with a flower accenting the toe.

Beauty Bar did a fantastic job with Laura’s and the girls make up and hair which held up to the heat and humidity incredibly well. The lovely Gesu church was air conditioned which made everyone happy.

Glendale Flowers and the Toledo Zoo caterers really came through with the table decor at the The Toledo Zoo Reception. The Nairobi Pavilion at the Toledo Zoo was the perfect venue for their guests to enjoy a cocktail hour on the African Savanna, train rides, and a merry-go-round. One of the toasts given by Laura’s twin sister Lindsey was so cute. Lindsey read from Dr. Suess’s book “The Places You’ll Go” and everyone had a great laugh. Guests danced the night away to the fabulous Swingmania who played big band swing throughout the night.

I saw so many awesome details throughout the day. I loved the placeholders with little birds sitting on them, the guest book full of Audubon bird illustrations and the beautifully decorated tables complete with lamps that glowed in the dark.

Despite the 100 degree temperatures Laura, Hunter and their wedding party seemed to have a great time and we made some awesome images. They were especially excited to spend time in the cool (temperature-wise) Polar Exhibit!
