Nazareth Hall Summer Wedding – Toledo wedding photographer

I recently photographed Pam and Don’s wedding on a beautiful summer evening in July at Nazareth Hall. As a Toledo wedding photographer I love Nazareth Hall weddings and Nazareth Hall to be one of the most of NW Ohio’s most beautiful venues. The grounds are lovely with rolling hills, open grass and lots of trees and the building itself has a rich history as a Catholic Military school built around 1928.

It was a remarkable day for many reasons. Pam is an actor and has a creative flare so I knew the details would be fun and festive. Don’s children triplets Rachel, Tyler and Doug and his youngest son Henry were all part of the wedding party and participated in the ceremony. Hafner Florist created beautiful bouquets of pink roses, berries and greens which were perfect for a summer evening. The couple were married in the Grotto and a group of 4 violinists played beautifully before and during the wedding ceremony. Their cake was created by Toledo Wedding Cakes and was a one of kind creation complete with hand written words and symbols of Pam and Don’s love for one another. The cake topper was handmade from coat hangers, driftwood and other items with the word “love” carved into the driftwood base. A special handmade piece was created that represented Don and Pam’s new family with Don and the children’s deceased wife and mother represented as an angel watching over them.

Congratulations Pam and Don and blessings to your new family!

Before exchanging rings Pam and Don performed a handfasting ceremony, an ancient marriage ritual made popular in Ireland and Scotland in early Christian times. Members of the wedding party each place ropes upon the couples hands after which a knot is tied symbolizing their union.
