I made these family portraits of the Spalding family last fall at Toledo Botanical Garden. The family wanted to give their parents a wall portrait as a gift for their mother Kate’s 80th birthday. We also created individual portraits of grandparents Bud and Kate with their grandchildren, the grandchildren as a group and then the three generations of guys together.
The Spaldings are big Ohio State fans which explains the red and grey color scheme for their portraits. This family was warm, friendly and fun loving and I really enjoyed meeting and photographing them.
By the way the wall portrait was a big hit.
